France + Spain

 
 

Day 1 – Departure:  

We will depart from the US on a transatlantic flight to Paris.  Dinner and entertainment aboard.
 

Day 2 – Paris  

Upon your arrival in Paris, you will be met by our tour escort and transferred by private motor coach to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure to freshen-up. Dinner and overnight. (D)
 

Day 3 – Paris  

Today enjoy a full day guided visit of Paris. Our tour will include a visit to the most famous French Museum: the Louvre. A unique chance to admire the Mona Lisa and the Venus of Milo amongst the many thousands of exhibits in this former Royal Palace. The collections are divided into 7 departments: Oriental, Egyptian, Greek, Etruscan and Roman Antriquities, Paintings, Sculptures, Art, Objects and Graphic Arts, from the Middle Ages to 1850. Continue to Notre Dame Cathedral, a Gothic masterpiece, designed by Maurice de Sully, erected between 1163 and 1345, and restored by Viollet-Le-Duc. All road distances in France are calculated from the “zero Kilometres” point located on the square in front of Notre-Dame. We will end our tour with a view of Paris from its highest point: La Tour Eiffel! Dinner and overnight. (B, D)
 
 

Day 4 – Paris/Bordeaux

 After breakfast, depart for Bordeaux, which has been officially included on the list of UNESCO World Heritage sites as of 28 June 2007. This distinction recognizes the beauty and unity of style of Bordeaux's architectural heritage, which has developed harmoniously over the centuries and remained remarkably well-preserved. The Bordeaux World Heritage site is the largest urban entity to be so honored. It covers 1,810 hectares, or half of the city, from the outer boulevards to the banks of the Garonne. Dinner and overnight. (B, D)
 

Day 5 – Bordeaux/Lourdes  

After breakfast depart for Lourdes, famous for its places associated with the life of St  Bernadette. After your arrival you will have time to pray with your fellow pilgrims from around the world. Dinner and overnight. (B, D)
 

Day 6 – Lourdes/Madrid    

Early depart for Madrid. Dinner and overnight. (B, D)
 
 

Day 7 – Madrid/Toledo/Madrid

  After breakfast, we will check-out of our hotel, and drive to Granada.  We will stop in Toledo where we will visit the Cathedral (famous for its Gothic architecture, Mudejar decorations and 750 stained-glass windows), Santo Tome (a 14th century Mudejar-style church) and the Sinagoga de Santa Maria (Spain's oldest synagogue). Continue to Granada. Dinner and overnight. (B, D)
 

Day 8 – Madrid

 Following breakfast, we will be hosted on a morning panoramic sightseeing tour of the Spanish capital of Madrid. The most prominent stop on our tour will be at the Prado Museum, which houses one of the most complete and valuable collections of paintings in the world! Its works include masterpieces by Velazquez, Raphael, Titian, Van Dyck, Rubens, Goya, Murillo, El Greco and many, many others. The remainder of the day is at leisure for some last minute shopping, independent sightseeing or just to relax. Dinner and overnight. (B, D)
 

Day 9 – Madrid/USA

 
Following breakfast, we will transfer to the Madrid airport for our return flight to the USA. (B)
